    Coilover questions...

I was recently given a set of coilovers that were in an e30 previously but the owner opted to get a set of GCs as the ones he gave me were using standard length konis and the strut housings werent shortened, which didnt let him go low enough.

What i was wondering was if I use a set of Bilstein Sports (1 inch shorter than stock length) I have and get rid of the konis, would I be able to shorten the strut housings by say an inch? Would I run into issues with it hitting the bump stops if im running 400lb springs?

If you are talking about the bistein sports made for E30s, they will bottom out a lot if you are trying to go really low. H&R race is just about as low as you can go on non-short-bodied inserts.
