Do Koni's Come Adjusted to Full Soft?

I just installed IE3 springs and GC Koni's in my 318is and my rear suspension is obviously overdamped. I push the rear of my car down and it doesn't overshoot equilibrium, it jumps up most of the way quickly and then slowly rises the rest of the way to the normal ride height.

I know koni's need to be at full soft for a while when they're first installed so I would assume they come full soft, but not based on what I am seeing. I never adjusted them before I put them on and still have done nothing. I don't even know which way to turn to make the softer (I read somewhere it was clockwise for softer and counter clockwise for harder). Is there a stop at the end of adjustment, any care needed in adjusting them? Thanks for any insight.

    Konis do come full soft.

I know that on mine counterclockwise stiffens the front, but just follow the diagram on the adjustment knob. There is a stop at the end of adjustment.

On the rear, if you have the same shocks that I do, there is a rubber bump stop built in to the shock housing. In order to adjust the rebound rate on the rear shocks you will have to remove it. In order to remove it you will have to take the shock mount off of the shock (at least I did), and then push it down the housing with a coat hanger or some equivalent. Don't forget to replace this when doing a reinstall.

On full stiff in the rear, the shocks should take you a long time to manual rebound the shock. Like 30~45 seconds...

    Hope that helps.
