    Ebay strut brace

I got these on ebay for $71.99 shipped. It didn't fit right. The holes wouldn't fit so I used my dremel to enlarge the holes a little and the shaved some metal off of the edge because it was touching the edge of the strut mount hole on the strut tower. I got it to mount. It get's the job done. I tug on it and it shakes the whole car. But I noticed a gap between the strut tower and the brace. Check the pictures. Is this normal? Do the Sparco bar or Ireland Bar do this? Should I return this and fork over the extra dough?

I got these from topspeed-pro1-performance and he says this is normal.

If it were me, I'd be asking for my money back. Buy the Ireland bar, it's not too expensive and fits great.

I have heard that some cars have a significant variance in the distance between shock towers, that they were produced that way. I think it was Jeff or someone at IE that said that.
