H&R race springs rear coils (distance apart)

umm how far apart are the rear coils supposed to be on H&R race springs... i feel like my springs are either worn out or something is broken more than i thought.....

i thought there was about a half inch in between each coil or a little less but it looks like mine are touching.

I initially had thought my springs were messed up, but my old IE3 rears, and all the H&R Race springs I had in my car had the middle coils touching while static. Perfectly normal.
