Need a measurement from someone that has e30 m3 strut housings!

I can't find anything when I search. I have the m3 swaybar tabs to weld to my front strut housings, but can't find the measurement on where to weld them. If someone could get me a measurement from where the strut housing meets the cast iron spindle up to the middle of the hole where the end link bolts to the strut housing I would forever be grateful!

Here's a previous thread on the subject, with a link to a thread on the other forum:

Thanks! I haven't seen that one pic of the measurement from the bottom, but that looks like an e36 strut housing???

They're all e30 housings; you should be good to go with those measurements. If you're using adjustable links I don't think the placement is too critical with regards to "height".

Cool, I got the adjustable links from ground control. I know they modify the housings to use them, so they have to know what the placement. I've spent a bunch of $ with them, but when I called them asking where they go, they told me they didn't know. Thanks for the help though!

I thought I'd explain that the reason nobody at GC knows the measurements is because we actually don't assemble the struts with a measuring tape.

The struts are assembled in jigs, in order to be the most consistent.

The jigs are faster, and remove any chance of a mismeasurement.
