    Which Rear Shock Mount???

Just replaced them both w/in last 6mos. and the driver side is already blown. I used the taper core HD mounts from Bav or BMP (?). Anyway, I am going to go with something that will last this time, but which set?

    Ground Control : http://www.ground-control-store.com/....php/II=8/CA=8

    OR

HMS (same as BMPs billet set but with only one set of bushings-BMP comes with a street set and a racing set) : http://www.hmsmotorsport.com/store/s...usp-mounts/rsm

    Other suggestions?

Anybody have any idea which would be best, and why?

    Thanks

And some of you guys in the know, please speak up here. I need to order these ASAP!

Kind of an off topic question - which type or RSM's lasted 6 months?
I went through a bunch of them until I went to e46 m3 convertible RSM's.

They're real nice, havn't installed them yet, but they look like they're pretty good quality and they have a lifetime warranty.

GC's mounts are no good. The urethane they use is too stiff and it will bend the shaft of the shock where it comes through the mount because it doesn't allow it to swing front to back as it needs to.

JT Design are the best mounts out there.

Common sense- It's the new 'gifted'

How many times have you seen them bend a shaft & how do you know that it wasent from an improper instal if not was it during a HPDE or street driving.

Nice suggestion, I was unfamiliar with the JTD mounts until I searched around, they look very well designed.

i just bought the "repair shop" ones from TMS for 47 shipped, and they're lifetime warranty. 100bucks was just too out of the question for me. I dont know what the rave is about urethane but i'll soon find out if these go bad real quick guess...

just purchased the jtd rsm per adamf 88is advice. very nicely built, love them.

if price is an issue, do what I did. go to www.jt-designs.com and look under their distributor list. look for a local place, call and ask if they have any stock. usually these places will sell for cheaper than list. got my pair with extra replacement bushings thrown in for 90. no need to deal with shipping.

if you buy direct from jt-design, they will replace any failed bushing for only the cost of having them shipped out to you from san diego. even talked to one of the jtd guys on the phone. very helpful, easy to talk to. said that out of all the hundreds of sets he sold, he only had to replace no more than a handful for customers who pushed them to the extreme limit.

and if it makes you feel any better, the "Repair shop" rsms are made I believe by jtd.

RCWELLS : the hms rsms are JTD, look at the part number. same exact ones i have.
actually, nm, just noticed you bought GC.
