    Squeaking/Creaking noise from rear

Everytime I go over bumps (big or little) at any speed I'm hearing this creaking sound coming from the rear. Any ideas what it may be?

Do you have poly trailing arm bushings?

I'm not sure, as far as I know everything is stock. Is there any way to tell what poly arm bushings look like and where they are located?

I'm guessing the creaking is the trailing arm bushings, especially if the noise is over bumps.

That or upper strut mounts. That seems to be the cause of mine at the moment.
I don't always wreck cars, but when I do I wreck them into trees.

Bad rear shock mounts usually result in a clunking

I'd guess that the trailing arm bushings are probably the cause

Any idea how hard it is to replace them? Can I live without replacing them? If the job is too difficult any idea how much it would cost at a shop to replace them?

yup, but one of mine is actually squeeking at the moment. Granted though, I think a trailing arm bushing may be squeaking too. gah.

If its a coupe and your back windows are the opening type, youd be surprised it can be from that.

99% sure its your rear shock mounts. They will squeak before they start clunking. Mine have always squeaked. Thats when I know its time to change them.

This is likely the culprit. If you're on stock suspension, I'd switch to the JT rear mounts that Turner carries http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-36...unts-pair.aspx

It's a nice upgrade over stock and should do the trick. The bushings are also replaceable and cost around $15 for future maintenance. I'm running these on my GAZ coilover setup and although I should be running a stiffer, spherical mount, these are holding up just fine.

You can always go a little cheaper and pick up these lifetime mounts, but I can't say I know anything about these. http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-34...unts-pair.aspx

I might be switching to the spherical mounts in the coming days, so if you wanna buy JT ones that I've been using for about a year, I'd provide a hefty discount over the $99 price :)

Daily driver, never tracked or abused. Prob 3k miles on the mounts.
