    Camber Plates / Ride Height

Just had camber plates installed in the front of my car after a complete suspension overhaul. I have H&R sport springs / Bilstein shocks. I am noticing that the gap in the front is now bigger. I'm assuming that it is either from the springs not quite settling in (work was done today) or the plates adding to the gap. If it is just the plates causing this gap, what do I do about getting it back to normal? I just want it back to H&R's drop spec. Drop hats? I didn't realize this would happen.

Also if this has already been covered, a link to a thread would be great.

    Thanks,

    Adam

Depends on the camber plate. Did you compare the camber plates with the stock strut bearings side by side?

This is why I used the GC Touring plates. Gives 12mm additional drop over factory hat and mount.

So yes, I talked to my mechanic and he said the plate is thick. It's the IE street camber kit. He didn't measure it but it makes sense why my ride is higher. Springs are settling down a bit so it's not as high as stock but it's certainly not where I want it to be. What is the deal with Drop Hats? Do they affect the quality of the ride at all? Is this the solution?

        Thanks!

EDIT: I'm up to speed on drop hats. Damn, there are some vicious threads on this topic. I see that there are E90 hats that get you 15mm (about 1/2 inch) and then I guess there are also 20mm hats out there but can't seem to find anything on them. Doesn't seem like much of a drop but at this point I'll take what I can get. Any opinion or thoughts on removing the front spring pads? How thick are the spring pads?
