Has anyone ever used Gaz coil overs? Looms like they make good set ups for about the same price as GC. They are a good European company by the looks of it.

They have a few kits for e30's for race and street performance purposes.

LuckyHenriksen on this forum has the GAZ GHA in his Cab. He reckons they're great.
I looked on the RPM Performance site (uk based seller) and got a quote from them a little while back. They were pretty helpful all round. Cost is slightly less than GC's and for E30 at least they can source the spindles for you for a price.
Seems like the GHA and the Golds both lower about the same, but the Golds have better quality damping and i believe adjust both bump and rebound rather than just one. I think the Golds come with camber tops standard too whereas the GHA don't (you can spec them on though). Rates, damping and amount of low you want are apparently all customisable when you order.
One thing i noted about the GHA though is the bodies are just zinc plated not anodized whereas the Gold are anodized. As anyone in fasteners would know, yes zinc is resistant to rust to a degree, but certainly not forever. I am suprised they sell zinc plated in the UK as i would imagine them going surface rusty pretty quick over there.
i was thinking of GC's but may go some GAZ instead in the new year.Comment

I have owned and run a set of GAZ Gold coilover for my race car. I have also owned a set of Megan racing coilovers on another project. I also have a close racing buddy that runs AST 4100.
So comparing GAZ, AST and Megan..
Megan felt like crap. The feedback was terrible. Felt as if I was in a bouncy honda. Changing dampening made virtually no improvement on bumpy tracks. When I read people praising those taiwan brands I cant understand why other than lack of comparison. My adjustable Koni's and Bilstein HD worked far better than that Taiwan brand..
Gaz felt Biblical. I never felt so connected with my car on a race track. The car was previously set up with SpecE30 suspension so when I switched there was a drastic difference in feedback. The feedback I was looking for. Regardless of running RA1s or Hoosier slicks.
ASTs were equally responsive but more expensive. There's a thread on bimmerforum where racers are flaming AST. As I post this, the thread is 9 pages long..Here are a couple of my favorite posts from that thread...
