How did you choose your suspension?

Hey ya'll...I posted this question in the suspension forum and got no responses at all. I figured this'd gather more responses (and still be appropriate).

I've seen various threads about what springs and shocks you guys run, but I was wondering how you guys chose what you did.

For those that don't know, I plan on swapping some sort of m5x/s5x into my car in the future, but I really like how my eta handles with its b27, so I want to retain the tossable characteristic of my car even with the new engine.

I'm figuring some sort of coilovers, but how do you choose?
Just based on what people say?
Or based on your specific needs?

For those of you that relate, I feel like it's shopping for in ear monitors just based on what other people tell you they sound like.

    Thanks.

    Step one: call gc.

    Step two: talk to gc.

    Step three: pay gc.

    Step four: win!

If you wanna spend 2 grand call them and get a full coiloversetup with adjustable koni shocks

If you wanna spend just a grand and dont need super high performance/quality get a set of bilstein sport struts and the GC coilover conversion kit.

GC coilover conversion kit. best $400 ive ever spent, seriously. this car makes me fucking smile every single time i turn.

and if your car has decent bushings, decently new struts and the suspension is tight 500/600 spring rates are fairly comfortable on the street.

            1) Look at the price of 2 way Moton
            2) Decide AST 2 way will be enough

FWIW I really liked my H&R Race and Bilstien sport setup, the lack of adjustability got to me though. Always wanted to be tweaking at drive days, but couldn't with them.
