    Ride height? Springs

What is the best set up for a average ride stiffness, but at least a 1 to 2 inch drop. I have read that KYBs are slightly better than stock shocks and struts and are CHEAP! Is there a good KYB lowering spring setup, or a really cheap shock spring setup. Looking for lowering more than, stiffness

H&R Sport springs are a good mild drop that still rides well.

KYB shocks ARE good but not going to last too long on a dropped car.

You could do E30 M3 springs with no spring pads and KYB shocks, good DD setup but only about 1" drop.

You can also get STAGG shoks from ebay. They are about 100.00 for the set of 4. Gas shocks and they are exect fit for late e30 with 51mm cartrige.
I have these istalled on my 318i sedan. The ride is more firm than stock, the rear does not bounce when going over bumps. I currently have these with the stock rear springs and 325is spring in front with 1 coil cut off. Even with the cut coil you get stock ride height due to lighter front with the 4cyl engine.
I have plans to be lowered for the spring time, may be 1.5in all around.

P.S. looking at the pictures of the JOM setup, these appears to be exectly same shocks.

Ease of install - 5 out of 5
Daly driving impressions 5 out of 5 with stock springs
Can't say how long they will last, but I'd imagine few thousand dozen miles at least - e.g. average for the budget setup..

Pro kit springs are too soft for the drop, imo. You end up getting a lot of rubbing. Mild drops are fine for soft rates but if you want to get a decent drop then stiffer is a requirement.

                H&R Sport springs

Personally wouldn't go any other way than koni or bilstein for shocks/struts but I haven't looked into the less expensive options, so there may be a great value out there.
