new shocks and struts, optional of course, and I just installed vogtland springs. Nice drop and stiffer ride but perfect for daily driving if thats what your car is mainly.

If you are looking for a drop on the cheap, coil-overs are not what you want. Decent ones are in the $1200 range.

I would try and find a set of used Bilstein sports and either HR Race springs or IE stage 3 springs. Should be able to pick up a set-up for a few hundred bucks.

e90 hats will give you a little more along with removing spring pads front and back.

i just cut my springs for the hell of it and it worked out ok. not nearly as firm as a true lowering spring but works for the time being until i sort out my next step for getting low.

Keep in mind, if you don't change to shorter body struts, you WILL blow your stock ones causing your car to bounce all over the place.

Jom coilovers if you don't really care much about performance.
                        Comfy, and gets you low.
