    Camber plates and/or drop hats

I have H&R Race springs and 15mm drop hats on my 318 and I'd like just a bit more low in front.

Can I use camber plates with a lower stack height than the stock mounts in conjunction with my drop hats or will they sit too high (close to the top of hte strut tower) and hit the spring hat, or do the camber plates replace both the mount and the hat?

How much lower would say a GC touring camber plate get me when compared to my stock worn out upper mounts and drop hats?

So after looking at pictures of them, the GC camber plates will not let me run the drop hats and will only lower 12mm with stock hats, so I'm better off with my drop hats and stock upper mounts.

This is probably the best one to see the drop. It's a 318i (M40) so it will probably drop more on a 6 cylinder car.

Those are also oversized tires (205/60R14)

I had the same setup that you have now, but now running GC touring plates. You are correct that the touring plates will raise the car (about 3mm) from your current height. With the drop hats, I removed the spring pads up front and I thought that it gave just the right amount of drop, (h&r race, 15mm hats, and no pads). Only way to go lower is cut the springs or go coilovers.

The GC Touring plates come with their own spring hat so that will actually raise your car 3mm as mentioned above.

205/60/14 is oversized it width but the height is just fine.
