rear swaybar problems with new car

Ie adjustable kit and i pulled it off of my 89 325. Now im trying to instal on my 85 318 and its not working out. The rubber diff mount is in the way and its just not lining up correct. Anyone had this problem and fixed it or is the bar just not designed for a 318?

    Thanks

Here's my 318 bar for reference. Bar is from a cabrio and it cleared everything fine. Diff wasn't installed and obviously not using the IE bar but maybe it helps some. You can see the diff mount in the picture

Yeah i have the diff out aswell but it just wont fit. It rubs on the diff mount throwing it off enough that the passenger side mount is 2-3 in away from bolting in.

I don't always wreck cars, but when I do I wreck them into trees.
