front clunk/popping noise

    front clunk/popping noise

    things I have replace in pairs,inner/outer tie rod,cab poly bushing akg,swaybar link/bushing,lower control arm. noise was already there before I replace whole front end with new parts.

    Uh, when does it clunk? Moving, not moving? From what you've said, I'd look at the things you haven't replaced. If its when stopped, I'd look at the subframe/steering rack. If its when moving, look at the engine mounts as well.

      clunk happen on bumpy road and very noticeable when turning left or right. I also can feel the clunk near my pedal.

        Engine/trans mounts are the first thing I would look at. Along with, you know, making sure that the subframe and steering rack are torqued in.

          if your oil pan sit about half a inch away from your skid plate does that mean motor mount is bad? also crossmember and rack bolt is tight on.

            If your engine mounts are more than 5 years old, assume they are bad and replace them.

                  Mine did the exact same thing. Especially when I had the wheels turnt and braked. It was the strut bearings taking a dump in my case.

                    this happen previous with my old suspension as right now I have full coilover set. can poly cab bushing make popping noise?

                      My left CAB pops, just replaced with solid poly. Not sure if this is normal, only been 2 days.

                        turn out poly bushing needed lots of lube. green grease ftw!!!
