Proper rebound setting? Koni SA + IE3

Had this setup on my previous e30 -- never got them set up properly, didn't understand compression vs. rebound at the time. Car is 84 318 running late model inserts (not sure if the bigger struts make a difference)

I need to know where to set the rebound to properly match my IE3s. Car will be summer cruiser / autox and occasional track days. Anyone has this setup and know their settings?

Given how inconsistent Koni adjusters are, I'd suggest fiddling with it until it feels about right. You'll generally want to be stiffer in the front than in the rears with Konis.

I'm going to suggest about 2 turns from full soft. You need enough rebound damping to prevent oscillation for the springs but not so much that the tire can't follow a rough surface.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I'm about 3/4-turn out from full-soft on my rears and I'm getting wallowing. Time to pull & set them a bit stiffer
