    Dammit...adjusting JOMs...

I think the adjustor is supposed to be welded to the strut housing. Mine isn't. So when I spin the ring to adjust the height up, the whole threaded adjustor and the ring spins. I tried a spring compressor, but there was simply not enough space for it to do anything. It would hit the adjustor before it seated properly on the spring. Also, it would not have been able to compress tight enough to do anything. What should I do? I'm officially out of ideas for this. Every damn thing on this car soft has been so much harder than I expected...
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Hold the adjuster body with a chain wrench and then turn the adjuster.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Not my problem...my dad's. As soon as I meet his requirements and get that car, it's join straight back down to the ground. As of now I can lean my iPhone landscape on the IS lip, and it's not even reaching for it. He's too old/boring/practical (=old) to drive a car that low. I'd look into a chain wrench, but wouldn't it slip? It seems like it would..
