Meyle vs. FCP Groton - Warranties

For what I have read on the forum the consensus seems to be that Meyle is higher quality than FCP Groton.

But then I found that FCP Groton claims to have a lifetime warranty on all their parts:

"FCP Groton now offers a Lifetime Warranty on all of its products. Please visit FCP Lifetime Warranty"

The difference in price is not that much, but the Meyle warranty doesn't inspire as much confidence.

"Meyle Heavy Duty parts have a 4 year warranty. Standard Meyle replacement parts have a 1 year warranty."

    Anyone cares to elaborate?

FCP's warranty is only free if the product is installed by an ASE certified mechanic. If you plan to install it yourself, you must pay 10% of the purchase price to buy their warranty. And you must register the product(s) with them within 30 days.

      * Their stuff is so cheap, it may be worth paying the extra 10% for the warranty.

If it's a DD you rely on, I'm not sure I'd risk their quality as it looks like their turn around time on warranty claims will be pretty slow.

Just to clarify the kit you provided the link to is actually a Meyle Kit. I apologize that the brand name is just listed as "aftermarket" instead of letting you know it is actually a Meyle Kit. The website you are looking at is our older Legacy site, but that exact same kit that you are looking at part# E307PieceP-MY can be found at our new site below and actually at a lower price $343:

        http://www.fcpeuro.com/search?utf8=%...=E307PieceP-MY

Once again we apologize for the confusion and we encourage everyone to check out the new site www.fcpeuro.com which was created primarily off the suggestions and feedback from you guys. The site's primary focus is on quality parts and superior service so keep me posted if you ever have any suggestions or feedback!
