    Ground control with Bilstein HD?

So I've searched quite a bit on this topic and haven't found a definite answer.
I already have HDs so if I don't have to spend money I won't.
Is it safe to run HDs with Ground control coilovers?
Does it depend on spring rate?
The spring rate of the set I'm looking into is 550 front/ 700 Rear
I'm not going super low, so I don't think it would be a problem.

Who does revalving of Bilsteins for a decent price, if I were to have them revalved?

    thanks
    -Craig

i have heard of people using ix bilsteins hd with gc coilovers in the front to compensate for going lower, since your not going low i do not think you would have a problem. though i have no experience with this setup.

if your not after going lower billys with h&r are the best. ill be running billys with GC coilovers very shortly infact. my spring rates are high but they are to spec for what i want the car to do. if you just want the car to handle well i dont see the need for the coilovers. even billys with motorsport springs handle very well for a street only daily driven car. but if its more street/ spirited daily driving add the h&r's if you want it to handle and go LOOOOWWW then GC's would suit. also trevor is pretty friendly and will have a chat to you about spring rates suited to your application.

      hope that helps.

so many folks get confused w/ c/o's.....and there is tonsa WRONG advice and info on the forums.

it really depends on many variables, but that being said:

you can run the HDs if your spring rate is suitable and you dont drop her much.

        Billie will revalve them direct.

The only reason i see why youd get c/o's is to get lower than ots aftermarket springs, or to get a rate different than ots aftermarket sprgs. I cant imagine you cant find ots aftermrkt springs to suit you and the hd's?....

c/o's seems a waste for you, to me.
I love sitting down and just driving!

it seems you may be a bit of a noobie, at least w/ suspension set up.....its all good, we all were.

Why do u want coilovers?..you may not even need them.

why such hi rates?,...those r track capable rates.

first get clear to help yourself and help us help you.

those rates will OVERPOWER HD's by far.....

I have a track toy....and those are the rates Im about to install...!!!..that will not be a fun DD...lol

Yeah Im a noobie to a lot of things still.

I like my cars to handle well. I don't really drive that much and I'm young so an amazing ride isn't on the top of my priority list. It's going to be a powerful car, so I wanted a good suspension to back it up.

The car will hopefully get to auto-x, maybe track someday.

Its on eibach pro and bilstein HDs now. I was going to purchase some swaybars as well.

Im not sure what to say......

u dont like your current set up?

if you really want more aggressive, u need to lose the HD's...

get HR race and billie sports( or koni sa's.).... u dont need coilovers...at all.

If I were you I would skip the coilovers and go with IE3 or H&R Race. You can keep the HD's, just trim 1/3 of the front bumpstop off. My "powerful car" is fine on IE3.
