    Inner ball joint nut wtf

Trying to replace my control arm. The inner ball joint is turning with the nut. Ive pb blasted it and putt pressure on it using the jack. The whole front end of the car was supported on it and it still turned with the nut. What else can I try?

This is the passenger side btw.

Clamp it as tight as you can... then make it tighter!

The nut may be seized to the ball joint shaft. An impact wrench with a jack underneath the ball joint may work. But a nut splitter will always work.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

there is two way of doing this
1.use vice grip on top of ball joint stud to prevent from moving then use a wrench on nut.
2.the very end of ball joint stud there should be a allen key insert hole to hold stud steady then wrench out nut.

Tried grabing the thread, but theres not enough to grab, and sadly there is no allen insert on it either :(

are you using vice grip to grab?

why bother struggling with it anymore when you can just cut it off >.< ..

after doing this enough on so many different cars I usually don't spend any time struggling with those things any longer than 10 min... just a waste of time, if they have a allen in the end or something under the rubber you can hold on to with a wrech they still sometimes fuck up and out comes THE SAAAAW!!
