New front strut mounts...different?

I installed my new front strut mounts I got from pelican parts, and it's been bugging me. Did they issue a new design?

The new ones seem taller. They are raised up a little more. My question is, did the design change? Do they settle?

That's how they should be. Most likely your old ones were worn out and flattened out.
