    Shorter rack options

I have a '91 325i with a '99 M3 rack in it currently. While the shortened lock-to-lock is nice, it's still like driving a boat. I do mostly auto-x, so I'm curious if anyone has come across better alternatives for more responsive steering other than a custom job?

    TIA

Yes, I'm aware of the Z3 rack, but I'm looking for something with a quicker ratio than that if possible.

You want something shorter than a 2.7-turns lock to lock?

          Yeah :D

Honestly, the ratio is more important than the lock-to-lock radius, but they kind of go hand-in-hand.

My 2g eclipse gsx steering was very short and very responsive. It made my buddy's e36 m3 feel a bit on the sloppy side.

The Z3 is the best and quickest rack that you can drop in. Anything else will need to be custom.
