    Are my shocks bad?

I bought, what is to be, my track car about a year ago, 89 325i. It came with ground ground control suspension and koni shocks. I removed and compressed the rear shocks, but they did not fully extend on their own after compressing them. Is this my sign that I need to replace my shocks?

I'd say those shocks are worn. They will probably be okay on a street car, but if you are going to track the car you should replace them or have them rebuilt.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
