Ireland Engineering front coilover conversion suggestions.

I have some 2.5" diameter hyperco coil springs for the front and some other ones for the rear. From what ive heard, you do not need coil perches in the rear because it will sit the car too high. For the front im looking at GC camber plates and Ireland Engineerings front coilover conversion kit. Do these perches have to be welded on or do they just sit on top?

Also, my spring rates will be 700/800. Im just starting to play with suspension settings so please dont bitch about the numbers being too stiff. I have to find out for my self and feel out what suits my driving style. I dont want to just throw these stiff ass springs on my bilstein HD'S so anyone have suggestions? Do I get these hd's revalved for these rates or go for fresh new shocks. After all, if I dont like the spring rates I would have just shelled out the miney for shocks that wont work with my next setup. If u say new shocks, what type work well with stiff drift setups?
    Thanks

Regular shocks won't work well with those rates. Also you should not use HDs if you want to lower your car. If your springs are longer then 5" you'll want to weld on a new collar 1-2" lower then the stock location.
