Koni Sports with Ground Control coilover kit

Just a quick question for someone that might know. I recently bought a set of koni sports shocks for my e30 in 45mm diameter and was looking at buying the ground control coil over kit to use on my existing strut housings.

Has anyone on here done this? I am not too sure how it will turn out as I am led to be live that ground control use a shorter shock.

I have made attempts to contact them to ask nut they have not replied to me.

    Thanks

i run koni single adjustables and a GC kit. Just remmeber you really need to cut off the lower support for the spring... look in my build thread ~ pretty early on for pics.

I did get your email, and responded to you on the 9th, but it was kicked back to me???

The 45mm housings are not compatible with the short Konis. They are too large of a diameter to fit into your housings.

There are a couple of options:

Convert to later model 50mm housings, which will accept short inserts and can be shortened for added travel, or run the standard Koni replacement inserts.

As long as you are't planning on slamming the car, the standard inserts will work quite well with our coilover kit.

I ended up buying standard koni yellow sports to suit my 45 mm housings. I was going to buy some h&r race but for the same money I can get the kit. I don't want to slam the car but I will have a heavier motor up the front. If I can buy the kit then great, but wouldn't mind finding out what spring rates to use in it. Just for street use and drag racing. Motor is a 20b with a single turbo.

I must be having issues with my pop account so thanks for the reply. Hopefully I can order something soon.
