Any tips for installing new rubber front sway bar bushings? PITA!

    Hey,

I'm installing new rubber bushings and brackets on my stock front sway bar and it's been a real pain.

Does anyone have any pointers to make it easier to get the bracket over the new bushing and compress it enough to get the screw through the bracket and subframe?

It's just such a tight fit, I tried dish soap for a couple hours the other night with no luck and plan to try lithium grease tonight. Maybe that will help but I thought someone may have a trick they've used before.

If I had poly bushings would this be easier?

    Thanks all!

I use dish soap and a jack to push the bushing bracket into place. Heating the bushings in boiling water helps by making them softer.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

      dish soap and a clamp.
I don't always wreck cars, but when I do I wreck them into trees.

I finally got them by using a clamp, grease and a screw driver through the holes to align them enough to get the bolts through.
        Thanks for the replies!
