    cabrio spring rate questions

I just picked up a vert e30 yesterday and i plan on swapping my suspension from my coupe before i sell it.

The spring rates on the coils now are 550/750 or something stiff like that.

Theyre bili ix HD inserts with choped housings, what spring rates should i get for the front? ( they are the 6"x2.5" gc springs)

And what are the ix shocks rated to have for springrates?

My rear shocks are agx camaro shocks so ill just go alittle up off of my front rate when i decide on something softer then what i have

I think 550/750 is a great setup. You need a heavier rate for the rear of a cabby due to the added weight in the rear of the car. I daily 600/750 and love every minute of it.

Really? I thought it was too stiff on the coupe, but maybe it was just the extra road noise/ less weight since the car is gutted

you could go for like a 500/700. that should work no problem.

I'm running H&R's 300/480's on my 87 325iC, think the shocks might be making suspension too stiff as installed 171lbs up front on all it did was settle further down, still had no bounce.
