I bought a 325ix with that already has new Bilstein HDs on the back and needed new shocks on the front. So I bought the HDs for the front too. Money is tight enough right now that I didn't feel I could afford stiffer springs to go with them. Suspension is pretty much the one thing I don't have any experience with or much knowledge of. I bought the HDs just to keep all the shocks the same, not with performance in mind. Without new springs, how will (or should) the car handle differently and are there any cons to running this setup?

Yeah. ^^^ That's what I meant to say. Seems pretty stock (like I have any idea what stock felt like in a twenty-three years-ago new car).Comment

I had HD's on my old sedan with stock springs, they worked great! Smooth ride and corning were more predictable and stable. Not much of a performance upgrade if that's what you're looking for.Comment
