How to put E30 M3 sway bar links on an E30 strut

I need a place to relocate my front sway bar. im looking for the brackets to weld onto my E30 strut tube and plan on using E30 sway bar links, the longer ones.

But I cant find the tabs for sale to weld to the strut housings.
Any help would be muuucho appreciated.
m20 is plenty. im simply a drifter.

The tabs are part of the m3 struts, not individual part numbers, and I don't think anyone sells them aftermarket to weld on. If you are already welding them on, just fabricate some and weld them on.

Can't you get adjustable links and keep them in the stock mounting spot?

Very hard to find. If you run coils you can buy thread on style ones.
And yes you can run adjustable links that mount to the control arm. This honestly is a better set up in my opinion.

It's only better if you don't need a stiffer bar. And honestly, given the way that the stock links get twisted around, I like the strut attachment a lot better.

You honestly don't even need the adjustable links. Get some stock e30m3 sway bar end links and then fab a bracket to weld to the strut. Enough people on here have done it so you can get some measurements from on here.

The reason I say you don't need the adjustable ones is because, more times than less, people set their away bars and forget it. Even a stock 20mm bar will react like a thicker bar with the change of geometry by adding the new link and tab. I heard that the difference feels like a 2mm thicker bar.

i have to relocate the sway bar links because i have e46 controlarms. i have the tabs and e30m3 sway bar links but not the exact measurement of where to weld it. akg sells the tabs to be welded onto the strut housing and they also sell the control arm bushings. good stuff.

im going to look up some more information on the location and have it welded saturday.thanks for all the input

                  measure yourself

disconnect sway bar from old links (both sides)
attach m3 link to sway bar
rotate sway bar until parallel with ground
mark the strut where the mount would go on the other end of the m3 link

This has to be done while there's a load on the wheels/front susp. If you put the front on ramps, the sway would end up being parallel with the bottom of the car. Hope that makes sense.

gotcha. i wasnt sure what it meant at first but im guessing he means dont follow the slant of the strut tube and put it perpendicular to the sway..
