Hey guys
Have a rebuilt 330 rack going into my 84 318. Was in the process of installing the e30 tie rods and noticed that the e46 tie rods secure differently.
The e46 rods are tightened on with a pipe wrench, and do not have a notch to fit the stock e30 securing plate.
This sketched me out a bit, I'm thinking it's fine to tighten down the e30 tie rods with a pipe wrench and loc-tite as the e46 ones would be?
Just checking, I know many people do this swap and probably don't even think about it. Should have taken some pictures but didn't remember to. Figure you guys know what I'm talking about. Number 3 in the first diagram, e46 is the second.
