Sorry to not let this thread die, but;
You shortened the Megans?
Has anyone else done this as well?
I'm looking into these or BCs, which I've read go lower than Megans, but I assume that's probably due to that person unknowingly comparing their car to someone who didn't have shortened springs and/or strut housing like I asked about above.Leave a comment:

I've been running Megan Coilovers for a month now and I can't say anything bad about them, I absolutely love the ride quality on them. Not too soft and not too stiff, they're just right. I haven't messed with the dampening either because I just love how they ride. As for lowness, I shortened my front struts to go lower and my rears are pretty much maxed out, the rears could go a little lower for my taste, but they're good for now. That's my input so if you're looking for something better than lowering springs, for a fair price, I recommend going with Megan.Leave a comment:

Both have to be welded. They are the same product, just different colors.
Biggest difference is customer service from dealer/reseller.
Spring rate options are offered by BC.
I'd be interested to know if there is a general supplier of these springs so I can pick from someone with more knowledge than BC dealers.Leave a comment:

Sorry to bring back from the dead....
I read through these pages and couldn't get a clear answer...
You only have to weld the Megan's in? Or are the BC's weld in as well?Leave a comment:

@jim325 Thanks for the feedback! Did you already get them installed?Leave a comment:

Just got my Megan Racing coilovers from Fatphos, Steady Garage. Man was this guy great to deal with. Customer support A+++!!
I ended up getting 8kg 6" front springs and 8kg rear springs plus 8mm spacers. Kevin was very helpful in the ordering process. Helped me pick the right springs so I won't have to run huge spacers for my wheels to fit. Custom ordering the 6" springs was no hassle and added no time on the delivery. They actually arrived 1 day early but I wasent home.
Super excited to get these installed. Hopefully in a couple weeks me n the guy doing the welding will have a free weekend and we can get these on the car. Then, MORE BOOST!!Leave a comment:

So im going to be purchasing a set of these from fatphos on friday and im woundering about wheel clearance.
Has anybody ran these with xxr521's? The wheels are 16X8 et20. Tires are 205/50r16. Currently the front is pretty close to the strut as is. If these are really any wider near the top of the tire they prolly won't clear. Im sure it's mostly the extra sidewall that these tires use that would cause problems, not so much the wheels.
So, has anybody ran these with the same dimension wheels/tires and needed spacers?Leave a comment:

First clue a suspension tuner/manufacturer doesn't know what they are talking about...They seem to either be in 8k/8k or 5k/5k.Leave a comment:

I can't speak for megan, not going to bash them as I don't know. I went GC, they use rate proven Eibach springs, sleeves are made in America and they have an amazing warranty. Just seemed like the right direction to go.Leave a comment:

If I buy a set with 5kg/5kg spring rates, is it going to be very soft? I definitely want to stiffen up with this upgrade. They seem to either be in 8k/8k or 5k/5k.Leave a comment:

Kind of hard to compare, Unless you buy the full coilover setup from GC the conversion kit is just sleeves and springs. the way your car is going to ride has a lot to do with the shocks you use.Leave a comment:

Does anyone have any information on how these compare with the gc coilover conversion kit? Ride quality, longevity, lowness, etc.Leave a comment:
