    Adjusting Ride Height

I just got done converting my suspension over to "coilover" and I need advice. I had the set laying around so the spring rates aren't ideal but at least I have everything converted and I can swap in springs to taste. I'm trying to set up the ride height based on the wheel arches and I am having a slight problem.

    The setup:
Weight jacks in the rear with 450lb springs and weight jack coil over in the front with 350lb springs. Stock rear bar with ireland 3 way adjustable in the front.

    Observations:
Front Left, 22.75", Front Right, 22.5"
Rear Left, 24.75", Rear Right, 24"

So I jacked up the front with a floor jack as near as center as possible and the rear arches stayed where they were. I lifted the rear right by 0.5" on the sleeve and nothing really changed.

Does anyone have some suggestions for doing this? I assume I just need to be more patient. Should I also do this with some dead weight on the driver seat? Without a corner scale I was just going to go on arch height.

This thread looks familiar, just with more details. :D

Yes, do all adjusting with weight in the driver seat simulating you. Other than that, arch height is completely arbitrary so do whatever you think looks the best. Without corner weighting the car it's a crap shoot. In addition to the DIY alignment thread I posted on the crew site, I've also found this one handy; http://www.corner-carvers.com/forums...read.php?t=489 (It's more on corner weight vs ride height)

Lmao, I was waiting for you to find this one. Figured the f-body guys would offer different advice.

Here is a picture of the assembly on the car. Everything looks okay?

Yeah with our stick axles and v8s we worry about things like getting all the PBR and grits out of our mullets. Haha. You might try PMing Dewey to see how he did his setup? I'll be in the same boat as you when I fire off the trans am in a few weeks. I pulled the trigger on weight jacks as well.

Are you just trying to get a level ride height across the board? Try dropping the front left (to pull up on the rear right).

Well I got it all squared away for the most part. I put around 100 pounds on the driver seat and then adjusted away. Got the following
          FL 22.75 FR 22.685
          RL 24.75 RR 24.685

I figured I weigh more than the weight I put in there so the right side should dip down a little more. These measurements were also with an empty trunk, drained gas tank. Weird thing is the RL sleeve is all the way down and the RR sleeve is about 0.75" up from the bottom . The FL is 1" from the bottom and the FR is 0.75"

Is there any weird BMW thing that puts more weight on the passenger side? I know with the f-bodies the engine is shifted to the passenger side by an inch. Don't know if the engine being canted over towards that side is doing the same thing.
