Groan when steering and shock question (video inside)

Alright, so I just started noticing a loud groan coming from my driver's side shock mount. Also, the big nut seems to spin more on the driver's side versus the passenger's side.

I am still learning about the complexities of suspension and I think I'll need to actually install a set of coilovers in order to understand the geometry and mechanics of it. However, in the mean time I'm looking for some help.

Here's a video of my situation:

Also, is the rebound adjuster on koni shocks supposed to lift up like this? It only does this on the driver's side shock, not the passenger's.

    Thanks for any help!

The noise sounds like a dry bearing in the camber plate. The GC plates that have the pain speherical bearing need frequent lubrication. I use spray on white lithium grease, but oil works too.

As for the "lift" of the upper strut nut, If different between sides I'd say that the struts aren't correctly assembled (a washer is missing on that side).
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

That's what I had pretty much assumed after thinking about it for a little bit.

      Thanks for the help!
