    weird shimmy?

Ok so I've had this problem for a while now and it's not like the car is undrivable by any means. But this problem is really starting to bug the shit out of me. I knew my cars suspension needed some help anyway so I've waited until I could start throwing parts at it in hopes that during the process I'd correct whatever the problem was. Well that is NOT the case so far anyway... I've replaced all four wheel bearings, shocks/struts and springs, one control arm and bushings and sway bar end links so far. Now while driving if I hit a bump the ass end feels like it shimmy's and almost wants to kick out on me? I've checked the other bushings in the rear and everything looks good and solid. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where else I should look or what else I should check? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

What shocks did you use for the rear?

I have seen brand new Bilstien Sports installed and act like they were blown. Bilstien recommends that you keep the inserts and shocks vertical for 24-48 hours before installation.

The reason I mention this is because a friend of mine had this same exact problem except EVERYTHING had been replaced. Shocks, struts, all bushings front and rear as well as sway bar links and bushings.

We were at our whits end and decided to try a pair of known good rear bilstein sports. The problem went 100% away.

Rear trailing arm bushings and or sub frame bushings.

I'm running billy sports as well but these were off of my last e30 before I sold it. However I DO have a new pair of rears still in their boxes, mabey i'll try swapping them out after a couple of days standing up and see if it helps? Can't hurt I guess right?

It absolutely couldnt hurt. It's worth a shot.

You'd be surprised what blown shocks will do to your ride. It's crazy.
