So I found a set of Bilstein Sport shocks and struts with 20k miles on them...not sure if the seller is being 100% honest, but he's also selling them with h&r race springs already assembled with front knuckles included. They're being sold on craigslist and I'm not really sure if it's worth pulling the trigger on. The front springs have also been slightly cut. Go or no go?

Bilsteins Sports are TOUGH shocks.
20k is no problem if he is telling the truth.
Hold the shocks horizontally with both your hands on each side.
If you can compress the shock that way, you are one strong mother fucker; if you can't, that's good indication.
Compress them against the floor.. It should be fairly tough and rebound back slow, but effortlessly. Make sure there is no bubbly/slurping noise when you're compressing them.
If all that checks out, I'd buy them!
I'd also like to hold the e30 community to a higher standard and not lie to me for the sake of a quick sale.
Oh well, people suck sometimes though.
