    KONI Strut TearDown and/or Single KONI For Sale

    i have a yellow koni sport strut that is bad
    i bought them used as 'near new' but words dont equal reality.
    it blows right thru the stroke and you can hear loose stuff in there.
    i contacted koni and they said it is not rebuildable.
    i looked around, including gc, and i cant buy just one.
    so i am thinking of tearing it down to see whats happened in there.
    if it was a perfect world i would be able to tear it down, fix the problem and put it back together.
    its 822277 which is for a vert but i would think any e30 m20 would work
    1-has anyone got any experience doing this or links that describe it?
    2-anyone got one koni for sale and know a place that sells a single?

    it looks like this dimple/bend of which there are three is what keeps it from coming apart

          and he said they were not rebuildable and could not be taken apart.
