Here's my ride height on each sides of the car plus clearance from bottom of IS lip to ground. The oilpan to ground clearance is about 3" (couldn't take a picture because it's simply too low). Sorry for the poor quality images, Enjoy.
IS Lip to Ground:
Driver rear side fender:
Passenger rear side fender
Passenger front fender (The fender is smashed, needs to be replaced.)

This is after less than 24 hrs of them being installed. They've settled since then and I put euroweaves on. I'm kind of lazy to take more pics atm, but I will later.

Just ordered the M3 set. Read the thread and some people say its stiff like H&R race and some says its smooth. I have a feeling the M3 set is stiffer. Will report back once I install them.

I ordered the ST m3 springs, which arrived today.
I am going to install them on my 87 325e coupe. My suspension setup is currently:
Front: KYB gr2 shock inserts, stock springs with one coil cut off, and e90 drop hats, and all spring pads in place.
Rear: KYB Gasadjust shocks, h&r sport springs, all spring pads in place.
I am debating whether or not to install the drop hats in the front, and whether to pull some or all of the spring pads.
I am relatively happy with the ride height, although I would like the rear to be a little lower. I bought the ST springs hoping they are stiffer then my current setup.
Has anybody installed the ST m3 springs in a 325 (non convertable) yet? I am curious to see just how low they are. Any advice on drop hats, spring pads?
(And yes, I know the KYB's are too weak for these springs. I will deal with that later.)Last edited by Andy.B; 10-11-2012, 10:32 AM.Comment

Using this spring rate calculator, and the measurements from my ST m3 springs, I got:
Front spring rate = 128.5 in/lbs
Wire Diameter: .498 in
Spring OD: 5.622 in
# of active coils: 5
Rear spring rate = 316.3 in/lbs
Wire Diameter: .592 in
Spring OD: 5.615 in
# of active coils: 4
Which puts them relatively close to the stock m3 springs (depending on the source).
I am unsure of just how much I trust this, but it is very easy to do, and seems very believable, given their application, and the drop the promise.
If anybody has a set of the 318 springs handy, and could calculate them for comparison's sake, I am sure others would be interested to know.Comment

There are 5 uncompressed springs up front under full load? Also springs are almost never an exact # of coils. It can be something like 5.2 coils. etcYour signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.
