    Steering rack leak.

So when I replaced my old tie rods I noticed that the ends of the steering rack was leaking power steering. I went to my local dealer and they said there is a kit available but don't know what it comes with. Does anyone know if its possible to repair the rack with a kit or do I need to get a new rack?

you should be able to repair it with the kit, it comes with a boot and clamps

And that will fix the leak?

What was leaking? If it was power steering fluid (pink ATF) it's probably not the rack itself, but more likely a leak in the hoses in the PS system.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

I had a seal break and i dont feel like replacing it. Ive been running to PS for months now. Not a problem. I has stronger arms now.
I don't even own this car anymore, but I'm too lazy to change the picture.

The rack can be rebuilt, but that isn't an easy job. Rebuilt racks are available pretty reasonably.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
