Trash or Treasure - Shock ID help!!

So I got a pair of red shocks in a parts trade.
These were installed on the diving boards cabrio.

I briefly searched the net and came to conclusion these are oil filled twin tube old school shocks. May be these are Koni Reds without adjustments??

Facts about these shocks:

a) They do not have any marking/numbers/stickers at all. Just red.
b) Fully extended - total length is 23in.
c) Fully extended - the rod is 6in tall.
d) They compress very easy and required very little power to do so, and once compressed, remain in such position.
e) It takes some force to decompress them manually (to pull the rod out by hand)..by "some force" I mean it takes more hand power pulling the rod, rather than pushing it in. Is this normal?
f) You can hear liquid (oil?) inside the shock is moving during uncompression (pulling) cycle.
g) They use stock collar nut to hold them in place.

Who made these shocks?
Are they in working condition?

If that is the box this shock was in i'd say it was leaking it's oil, and there is visual scoring on the shock rod. Red paint? who knows..

Trash.

If you compress them and they stay there, they're blown. Also since they are easy to compress, that's a sign that theyrr blown too.

They look like kybs. Mine look a little different because they are MR2 AGXs.

i agree these are likely KYB, as I also got the rear shocks from the same guy and those were Kyb as well. I will trash these front shocks and I've concluded they are blown, since they have is no resistance during compression and rebound cycles.

I will keep the rears, as they are gas charged and behave as it should.
