    H&R Racing VS H&R Sport

Okay, so my car has the race springs but it's just slightly too harsh for my daily. I was wondering if any of you have driven on both with the same car. I'm looking for a slight bump in comfort even if I have to give up a little cornering.

I'd like to know if anyone has driven on both and if it's enough difference for me to make the change.

I'd also look for trading someone who has the H&R sport..

I'm running Koni in the back and KYB in the front.

Let me know thanks, And yes I searched but nothing with this type of question in my five minute quest.

Well H&R Race rates are 315lbs front and 570lbs rear.
Sports are 200lbs front and 380lbs rear.

SO, in theory of course, your comfort level on your ass will increase 63% and 66% for your rear passengers.

    lol.

Yeah I realize that, I had to replace the front when I first got the car but I do beleive the "race" springs are extra firm. It's almost perfect but just a little too harsh for me.

Would his E30 M3 springs fit okay with my e30 325Is setup?

          I know guys put e30 m3 springs on their none m e30 cars .
The stock springs are lower and stiffer on a e30 m3 than even a e30 is .Just want to make sure the race springs you have are same as the m3 cause the m3 sit low dont want my car higher than it is a little lower be perfect :)

Ill check in the morning. I bought the car from a reputable person here and everything else has been what he said. Including all the receipts for the labor.

Sounds like H&R Sport is definitely the right choice for you.

There is only 1 version of the H&R Race springs so yes they will fit the M3 as well.

Thanks for the info... I forgot to check the color.. I appreciate all your advice and help.

It looks like it will raise my car .6 inches which is just right for me.

I bought the e30 for looks and DD not really racing it around a track. I just happened to buy one that was prepped for all that.

There will be a noticeable improvement in ride quality with the Sport springs vs the Race springs you have now. A further improvement would be gained by replacing the KYB shocks with Koni SA shocks. I'd suggest an initial setting for the Koni's of one turn from full soft for the Sport springs
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

This is one of those things that is really hard for us regular folks to quantify, but I think I have some useful experience. I switched from BavAuto springs (very similar to eibachs, SOFT and low) to H&R sports. I retained the Bilstein Sport shocks that were installed with the BavAutos. My ride improved significantly with the stiffer H&R springs. I attribute this to a better "matching" of the springs and dampers.

So you may enjoy a much better ride just by having the right shock. My dad has Konis on his car and they seem way smoother than bilsteins, but that comparing my e30 to his e21 and e36, and each one has different types of springs. HTH.
