e30 m3 rear sway bar link install issues - wont go on!

Really annoying... Trying to swap my rear sway bar end links on my e30 m3 and I can't for the life of me slide either one on. I've greased these suckers up and tried all the force / leverage I can possibly apply and they wont go in. I did some part number hunting thinking I had the wrong end links and I discovered that all e30s including the m3 had the same part number of : 33551126932
This is strange because there were different size sway bars and of course the m3 has a larger one. I feel like this isn't right... because they wont budge at all...
    I'm hoping for suggestions here..

The rear sway links can be a pain to install. In my opinion you'd have to be a gorilla to get them on the the bar on the car. I clamp the bar in a vise, heat the links in boiling water and force them on using liquid soap as a lubricant.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Boiling water - that's a great idea! Everyone either says dish soap OR olive oil... I will try both tonight.
