Cutting struts with M Tech 2 kit- Necessary??

I am about to buy the ground control coil over kit, just unsure if I should cut the struts down the 1". I have an M tech 2 kit installed which makes the bottom of the car appear to be much lower than without a kit. I assume since it's just an inch, and the kit is larger than 1", I could do without it but would like everyone's opinion. I am not going stanced low, just want it lower with some adjustability. I'll be swapping the wheels for some 16" BBS RS, but the tire height is very similar between the two.

When in doubt, cut the strut! Shock travel is nice :)

I want adjustability. I'm afraid with 1" cut out, I would have to keep them at the top, and not be able to turn them down any. I don't want that. If I have to, I will build them up without cutting and see where I sit, then decide. Just curious to see what others with M Tech 2 kits have done, better yet, with some pics. Either way, I will still have shock travel.

Is that with or without the strut housings cut?

Here's mine with stock housings (no cut). Spun all the way down in front with Kmac strut mounts and Bilstien shocks. Rears are spun almost all the way up.
