Help me. Clunking noise after BC Racing coilover install

So I installed the BC Racing coilovers the other night and when I am driving, I hear this clunking noise coming from the rear passenger side, so I double checked the shock mounts and made sure the two nuts were on there tight. I torqued down the bolt connecting the shock to spec as well. It kinda seems like the spring is somehow moving around so last night I put the car on the lift and double checked to make sure everyone was installed properly and it was. I am not sure if this is the same with other companies but for maximum drop you remove the adjusting collars on the spring, which I did and you adjust the preload from the shock I think.

Anyone else with BC Coilovers have this issue? My friend has the same setup with the same spring rates (10K front 12K rear) and he only installed the rears so far and he gets the same clunking noise from the driver rear side. Same sound. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Today I am going to check to see if the center nut underneath the adjusting knob from the shock mount is loose and double check the locking collar on the shock.

Switch the shocks from left to right and see if the noise moves from one side to the other. If the mounts are tight, the noise may be internal.

Have you checked the sway mounts and links?

I had an eibach lower sway bar and I just took it off completely because I thought that it was hitting against the frame. However, the noise was still there. I'll try to switch out the shocks this evening to see if the noise follows. Thanks

Hmmm i just got these and have driven around 500km and now this same noise has started, only on one side at the rear.... sounds like a mount is loose or something. Have heard the same sound on different coilovers in skylines and thought it was flogged out shocks...

Mine is happening on the front only when I turn right. Not sure which side it's coming from.

update: the locking collar was loose on the rear passenger side shock. I was able to turn it by hand. I tightened it again and used a mallet to make sure it was snug and the sound went away. My friend had the same sound on the opposite side and his was loose as well so if you guys are hearing the same sound as I described, double check and make sure the locking collar is tight
