Help Locating M3 Front Swaybar Tab

I'm converting my 325is to the M3-type front swaybar link setup (along with a number of other changes...). I have the tabs from AKG (here: http://www.akgmotorsport.com/catalog...0Reinforcement).

I'm hoping someone can provide me pics and some reasonably accurate measurements to allow me to weld these to the strut housing in the correct location.

    Thanks!

Is your car lowered? Are you using adjustable links or stock?

The best way to do it with those things in mind is to unbolt the bar, and with your struts loaded on a wheel lift etc as if it were on the ground, rotate the sway bar (with new links and mounting tabs mocked up) until it is perpendicular to your strut. Mark the mount location at that point. Then remove, install and weld into place.

This way you will have the correct angle for your application. Measurements are going to be different on each car based on the parts and ride height. This way you get the ideal placement for YOUR setup.

I see what you're saying. Only catch is that the car is on four jackstands with no front or rear subframes in place.

The car will be on coilovers, lowered. The end links will be adjustable.

I was just hoping someone could give me the measurements for the location of the tab on a stock E30 M3. I figured with the adjustability of the links, the stock location would be good and I could fine tune it from there.

Whats is the point for using m3 sway bar links vs stock?

It's not the links that are important, it's the location in which they mount. The M3 mounts provide greater leverage on the suspension which acts as though you have a larger diameter swaybar.

There are some downsides up for debate, too.

Honestly the control arm setup is a better way to go if you are going to really use the car. It dose put wear on the ball joints a lil faster but ya...
So simple solution. Weld both tabs the same distance up the strut tube. Then you will just need custom length links to match. The bar can be slightly up or down a little it dose not need to be flat.
                  OR
Buy threaded strut tubes and get thread on tab links.
