    Wheel Hop

    Any ideas to cure?

Finally got my track car ready for racing, but I am getting wheel hop only on the driver rear tire during hard acceleration in first and sometimes in 2nd in the rain.

I've done the following to get it race ready suspension wise in the rear:
    H&R Race springs
KYB AGX Camaro Shocks set to the firmest setting (8)
    3.73 LSD
    KYB RSM's
Tires were Bald Falken Azenis, and now Toyo M+S Proxies with tons of tread

Diff bushing is mint, Subframe bushings were done by previous owner, replaced at dealership with stock replacements. Car was driven by an old fart and was an ETA engine at that time (now 2.5)

I have wheel hops with M+s tires. Extreme summer tires cured it. LSD could be tired too.

has rear sway bar, was going to install a larger one. I have the Suspension Techniques 21/19 sway bars, currently only the 21 is installed up front. LSD has 230k km (143k miles) on it. Was from a vert also driven by an old fart. Guess I can check break away torque on it.

Sways and springs don't cause or eliminate wheel hop.

Are you SURE your subframe bushings were done? More importantly, your trailing arm bushings?
Wheel hop is from your car dumping so much force into the rear wheels, that the toe and (I think) camber positions get effected during the transition of no grip to catching grip so the process gets upset. Low profile tires and wrongly dampened shocks can do this too.
If it's all dandy, play with your shock settings then!

I just did a winter auto-x race today, I got no wheel hop when I was hard on it on the course, only present from a hard accel standing start. I think I am going to put poly bushings in the rear subframe and see what happens. The previous owner did subframe bushings in 2007, and then the car sat basically until this year.

Typically wheel hop is from shocks, subframe mounts, and tire choice. Some of it is inherent due to the nature of tires having some spring to them.

I've only ever had it when launching my car hard. It can get pretty nasty when I have the slicks on though. I don't doubt it has a lot to do with the bushings in the rear needing to be gone through and replaced.

My car also has wheel hop sometimes when I launch in the wet. I believe it to be mostly my old rear shocks but know my rear end bushings are partly at fault as well
