    Absorber

Is #5, absorber required? I'm not sure if I have one in my car right now and I'm replacing my shocks, what happens if you don't have one and wtf is it?

Thats the bump stop. Very important. Without it, the strut can bottom out and blow out pretty quick.

You know what KYB's stand for? Keep your Bilsteins..

I'm going for getting the stock suspension back, so that's why I'm selling the Bilsteins.

KYB is not stock. You would be better of with some Boge TS than KYB Killed Your Bucks...

              KYB's

I remember when gas type shocks first appeared(yes that old). KYB's were "the" brand to have. Everybody wanted them because they were so superior to anything else you could get. Now almost all cars have them as OEM. There is no innate quality specific to one brand that makes them better suited for all conditions. Bilstein's can be the highest quality wrong shock you can buy or the best right one.
