please help me figure out what parts i need

I have a front strut that needs replacement. To avoid a quote of $700, I'm going to get the parts myself and then pay another local guy who works on foreign cars to install them all. I read on how to do it myself, but I simply don't have the capability.

What do I need to get to replace a front strut that is stuck/froze? Housing? Strut bearing? I'm replacing shocks with Bilstein HD's because that's what i have in the back, but what else is needed? This is all new to me.

$700 for a seized shock? Wow, they were going to tap dat two time without lube.

Buy a bentley, buy some tools, buy the parts you need, and buy beer with the remaining $500.
