    e36/5 shocks

So i know this is R3V and if i wanted e36 info i should just join a e36 forum. but i figured id give it a try anyway. my dad just reciently got a 95 318ti (e36/5) and im need some help with sourcing a set of REAR shocks. yes i could just go bilsteins and call it a day but my problem is i will be having a little more weight then usual...... a sound system.... DONT YELL AT ME ITS NOT LIKE ITS MY CAR!! lol anyways i wanted to throw some heavy duty springs and shocks in it so it really doesnt loose too much ride height. bilstein heavy duty shocks is what im thinking but id really perfer to stay under $100 for just the rears. i need your 2 cents please.
    thank you - joe

What is the question here? You can probably find a set of used rear Bilsteins for about $100...

How much weight are you talking about?

That is a good bit of weight. Not anything the stock suspension can't handle, but it probably will sit a bit lower in the rear.

I don't think you will find stock height springs with a higher rate. But I suppose you could use coil overs with spring rates a bit greater than stock to get the same ride height as stock.

Before going after springs, place the gear in the trunk and see how the car looks.
