    New springs or shocks?

Hey guys, I'm not sure if I need new shocks or springs. When I hit a pot hole or go over a speed bump it sounds like the shock is going to punch threw the car. It's only happening in the rear and i try to go slow over speed bumps and dodge pot holes but sometimes it's impossible. The previous owner said he put bilstein sport shocks on it not to long ago.. So that why I think it's the springs not being stiff enough.
    -Thanks

It basically sounds like your shock is bottoming out. What kind of springs are you running?

I have no clue, the guy never said anything about the springs. I believe they cut the springs but not sure..

That too. The factory BMW shock mounts suck. I think you can get some reinforcements on here for like $17. Theres still a good chance that old saggy cut springs are basically doing nothing

                +1 for shock mount.
