    Cosmo Coilovers

I got some cosmos from a friend for cheap! and i put the backs on and i just wanted to know if you HAVE to take off the caliper off the fronts to drop the strut. I know if have to disconnect the tie rod and control arms...just wondering about the caliper?

    Thanks!

I'ts only two bolts. I suppose you could leave it on and just disconnect the brake lines.. lol but thats definitely more work than the two 19mm bolts.

I would, have a vise grip by your side when you do, pull it off and clamp it on the piston slowly. It'll keep pressure in the lines so you won't have to bleed them. it will make it 10 times easier taking it off.

another solution is to just remove the calliper from the rotor, but still easy enough to take it all apart. If any cutting/welding has to be done, you should remove all that stuff anyhow.
